WINDOW SMASH

Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 11:56am 18th January 2019. (Updated at 3:07pm 18th January 2019)

There have been a number of vehicle break-ins in Cranleigh.

Police received multiple reports yesterday (Thursday 17 January) from residents who woke up to discover their vehicles had been damaged overnight.

Items were stolen from insecure vehicles.

Surrey Police have confirmed that some of the vehicles were parked on driveways while others were parked on the road.

Residents are being told to 'remain vigilant', ensure vehicles are locked and secured and all valuables are removed from vehicles.

Anyone who has been a victim but has not yet contacted police is urged to get in touch on 101.

Surrey Police told Eagle Radio:

"We are also asking for anyone with dashcam, helmet-cam or CCTV footage from Thursday night in the Cranleigh area to check it and come forward if they believe it could assist our investigation.

"Anyone with information that they believe could help is asked to call 101, quoting reference PR/45190005690."
