Tree falls onto van near Camberley

Published by Josh Kerr at 4:13pm 7th December 2018.

A tree has fallen onto a car near Camberley.

The incident happened along the A322 Bracknell Road at around 10 this morning.

Fire crews from Camberley attended the scene, with it later confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident.

A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said:

“We were called shortly before 10am to a fallen tree which had hit a van on the A322 near Bagshot.

"Two fire engines attended but as no-one was trapped we helped make the scene safe and left at around 10.30am.”

Surrey County Council confirmed the road has reopened, but that staff from the highways team will be heading back to the scene after the evening rush hour to clear remaining debris from the footway and central reservation.

One lane will be closed for the clearing work.
