Published by Carol Musgrave at 5:39am 6th December 2018. (Updated at 8:55am 6th December 2018)

A lorry has struck the bridge on Wrecclesham Road in Farnham.

Surrey Police tweeted the driver crashed into it after failing to take note of height warning signs.

It happened last night (December 5) at around 11:30pm.

Pictures show the trailer on its side on the A325 under the bridge.

The A325 Wrecclesham Road was partly closed in both directions, from River Lane to The Hatches until the HGV was removed during this morning's rush hour.

The road was open before 8am.
