Man attacked on M25 after 'suffering medical episode'

Published by Carol Musgrave at 7:21am 27th November 2018. (Updated at 12:29pm 27th November 2018)

A man has been assaulted on the M25 in Surrey - after crashing into other vehicles while suffering a stroke.

It happened on Saturday morning between junctions 14 (A3113 Heathrow Terminals 4, 5 and Cargo) to 13 (London W and C, Hounslow, Staines A30.)

His car eventually came to a stop on the hard shoulder, but before the emergency services arrived, a motorcyclist pulled over and assaulted him, before making off.

Police say they were called out at around 10:15am to reports of a suspected drunk driver - but say it soon became apparent that the driver, in his 40s, had suffered a medical episode.

He is still in hospital.

Officers said a number of drivers also pulled over to find out what happened.

They are appealing in particular to the drivers of a green mini and an airport taxi - asking if they stopped and filmed the incident.

If you saw what happened, or know who the motorcyclist is, you can call 101 quoting PR/P18281601.
