House up in flames off Hogs Back

A large fire has broken out in a farmhouse in Wanborough off the Hogs Back.

Surrey Fire and Rescue service were called out at 4:15am this morning to the property off Wanborough Hill near Guildford.

Flames ripped through the entire house, from the ground and first floors to the roof.

The flames could be seen from the A31, coming out of the roof, with smoke billowing out over the area.

Four fire engines from Guildford, Farnham and Woking were sent to the blaze, as well as the aerial ladder platform and water carrier from Leatherhead.

Police vehicles were also seen in the area.

The fire was out just before 8am.

There is no word of any injuries or anyone trapped.

An investigation is underway.
