Surrey Police are reminding parents to discuss the the dangers of hoax calls with their children.

Last weekend, the force received a number of abusive and nuisance calls from a teenager, wasting valuable resources.

They included false requests for assistance and abusive language towards our emergency call takers despite being warned to stop calling.

An investigation into the source of the calls is now underway.

Officers are now highlighting the dangers and consequences the crime could have, maybe even on someone closer to you than you think...
