Second day of strike on South Western Railway

Trains across Surrey and Hampshire are disrupted for a second day as workers go on strike.

The 48 hour action by the RMT union is over the ongoing row over guards on trains.

South Western Railway is running half of normal services until midnight tonight.

Some routes will not have a train service or a replacement bus service.

The following services have been changed:

Alton, Basingstoke and Woking to London Waterloo

Basingstoke to London Waterloo (stopping service)
A reduced service will run on this route, with 1 train per hour running in each direction.

Alton to London Waterloo
Due to planned engineering works, rail replacement buses will be in operation between Alton and Farnborough where you can change to a train to continue your journey towards London Waterloo. A minibus service will run between Farnham and Bentley station.

Woking to London Waterloo (stopping service)
A normal service will run on this route, with two trains every hour between these stations.

Guildford to Ascot

Buses will run hourly between Aldershot and Ascot.

The route between Aldershot and Guildford will also be served by rail replacement buses due to planned engineering work.

Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo via Guildford

A reduced service will run on this route, with two trains an hour between Portsmouth and London Waterloo. The London Waterloo to Haslemere trains will not run, and stopping services will call additionally at Milford and Witley in both directions.

Fast services (calling at Woking, Guildford, Haslemere, Petersfield, Havant, Fratton, Portsmouth & Southsea and Portsmouth Harbour in each direction) will not run in the early morning or late evening.

South West London (Mainline Suburban)

Dorking to London Waterloo
Trains will run every thirty minutes between London Waterloo and Epsom. There will be no South Western Railway service between Leatherhead and Dorking.

Guildford to London Waterloo via Epsom
These trains will not run. Hourly replacement bus services will run between Leatherhead and Guildford.

Guildford to London Waterloo via Cobham and Stoke d'Abernon
These trains will not run. Hourly replacement bus services will run between Surbiton and Guildford via Cobham and Stoke d'Abernon.

Hampton Court to London Waterloo
These trains will not run. Trains to and from Woking will stop at Berrylands. Please see the table below for travel from stations not served by trains or replacement buses.

Chessington South to London Waterloo
A reduced service will run on this line. Service will start later than normal at 09:00, with three trains every two hours. The train service will also finish earlier than normal at 20:00.

Buses will run before and after the train service between Worcester Park and Chessington South, with one bus running every hour.

South West London (Richmond, Brentford, Windsor and Reading)

London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Hounslow
A reduced service will run between London Waterloo and Hounslow via Twickenham. These will depart London Waterloo at 11:12, 11:42, 11:58, 12:12, 12:42, 13:12 and 13:42 with one train departing Clapham Junction at 13:08.

There will be additional services from Twickenham to London Waterloo following the Northampton v Leicester Rugby match at Twickenham Stadium.

Barnes to Hounslow via Brentford will not have a service and customers are advised to use local buses.

London Waterloo to Windsor and Eton Riverside

There will be a reduced service on this route, with one train every hour between Windsor and Eton Riverside and London Waterloo.

London Waterloo to Reading
This route will run a normal Saturday service, with two trains each hour between London Waterloo and Reading.

London Waterloo to Weybridge via Staines
These trains will not run. Use trains between Hounslow and London Waterloo via Twickenham for stations between Barnes and Hounslow.

An hourly replacement bus will run between Virginia Water and Weybridge.
