Trains South Western Railway Farnham station

Published by Carol Musgrave at 6:07am 21st September 2018. (Updated at 7:41am 21st September 2018)

Train services have been disrupted after Storm Bronagh brought strong winds to Surrey and Hampshire.

The gusts overnight have been impacting on travel this morning (September 21).

Two trees came down on the railway at Witley - these are now cleared and all lines are open.

A fallen tree on the line at Earley earlier is also causing delays on Great Western Railway southbound between Reading and Guildford.

Some services running through this station are starting at Wokingham.

Meanwhile, a yellow Met Office weather warning of wind is in place until 9am today, with gusts of .up to 45-50 mph.

It is the second storm this season, after Storm Ali caused chaos in the north and in Ireland earlier this week.

Another yellow wind warning is in place from 9am on Sunday (September 23) through to 9am on Monday September 24).
