Collision at Wisley Services
Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 6:57pm 13th September 2018. (Updated at 7:08am 14th September 2018)
An investigation is underway after a crash shut Wisley Services for several hours yesterday afternoon (September 13).
Emergency services were called out to the garage forecourt on the southbound side of the A3 at around 3:30pm
Two cars and a lorry were involved.
Pictures from the scene show a car completely wrecked and a pump badly damaged.
It is reported there were no serious injuries.
Surrey Police tweeted: "Thankfully there are no serious injuries reported, but the clean up is going to take some time so the services are likely to be closed for a number of hours."
The services were shut for several hours before reopening at around 8pm.
Traffic was held on the main carriageway but all lanes were reopened soon after it happened.
However, traffic remained heavy towards the M25 as people slowed down to check out the crash.
Surrey Police tweeted that the cause of the collision will be investigated - after people took to twitter speculating about how it could have happened.
Lots of people jumping to assumptions.
