Man arrested after Frimley pet shop break-in

Pet Shop break-in Frimley

Published by Carol Musgrave at 11:39am 13th June 2018.

Police are investigating a break-in at a pet shop in Frimley.

It happened in the early hours of Monday morning (June 11) at the Two by Two shop on Ansell Road.

Owner Andrew Backhurst told Eagle four charity boxes were taken off the counter - for Arthritis Research UK, Cats Protection, RSPCA and Chimney Farm Rescue.

He said he does not know how much money they contained, but that all were full.

He said the culprits appear to have broken in by smashing the glass panel on the front door.

Surrey Police have confirmed the incident - and say one man has been arrested.

They said the investigation is still ongoing.

If anyone has any information they can contact officers on 101, quoting reference number PR/45180061113.
