EXCLUSIVE: Michelle Gayle to perform in Guildford panto

The actress and singer Michelle Gayle will be performing in this year's Guildford pantomime.

Eagle Radio announced on the Breakfast Show this morning that she will be playing the role of the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

Michelle, who is currently appearing in Son Of A Preacher Man in Woking, rose to fame in the tv series Grange Hill - before moving to EastEnders.

She also had a string of hits in the 1990s, and three BRIT Award nominations.

Michelle has since played Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast in the West End.

Michelle is also known for her starring role as Imara in CBBC's hit fantasy drama Wolfblood, which won Best British Children's Television at the British Screenwriters Awards.

She has also published four novels for young adults.
