Guildford best in UK for passing driving theory tests

Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 6:00am 15th April 2018.

Research shows Guildford is the best in the UK when it comes to passing driving theory tests.

The town has a 56.4% pass rate for the exam, which consists of multiple choice questions and a hazard perception section - a video about spotting hazards on the road.

On the other end of the scale, Bradford is apparently the worst city for passing with a 42.9% pass rate.

After completing your theory you still need to do a practical test though, and according to data taken from the DVLA Farnborough is sixth best when it comes to passing that.

The Hampshire town has a 58.5% pass rate - Dorchester is top with 65.%.

Th worst? Erith in south east London - 29.8%.

The research was carried out by Kenway Miller Solicitors who specialise in defending motoring offences.

The company's director, Matthew Miller said: "It seems the learners of Kings Lynn need to work harder when it comes to passing theory tests.

"Learning stopping distances, road signs and identifying hazards is so important in preventing accidents and keeping roads safe."
