Two years since murder of Surrey antiques dealer

Detectives are renewing their appeal on the 2nd anniversary of the murder of a West Molesey antiques dealer.

The body of 50-year-old Robyn Mercer was discovered outside her home on Walton Road just after 8am on Monday, 14 March 2016.

A post mortem revealed she died from multiple blows to the head.

Detective Chief Inspector, Paddy Mayers, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: “A tremendous amount of work has been carried out since Robyn’s death and we will not rest until we get justice for Robyn and her family.

“So far the investigation has seen multiple arrests, house to house enquiries, numerous days of action and behind the scenes work carried out by detectives.

“A long and complex investigation is still underway and we are confident that we will find the answers we are looking for.

“I know that there are individuals out there with information that can assist us, and I am appealing directly to you to come forward. Please do the right thing and speak to us, we will work with you and support you.”

Anyone with information that might help the investigation is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting Operation Zebu.

Three men remain under police investigation:

  • A 27-year-old man from West Molesey arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle and murder and on conspiracy to pervert the course of justice remains under investigation.
  • A 29-year-old man from West Molesey arrested on suspicion to burgle and murder remains under investigation.
  • A 27-year-old man from West Molesey arrested on suspicion of murder remains under investigatio
