A man in his 40s has died after a crash on the airfield at Heathrow Airport this morning (14 February).

Police say he was taken to a west London hospital with serious injuries after two airport vehicles collided near Terminal 5 shortly after 6am.

His next of kin have since been informed.

The London Ambulance Service also attended, with one other man left with a suspected broken shoulder. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating, but no arrests have been made.

Some flights at the airport have been delayed due to the incident, but passengers have been told to check in as normal.
