Man seriously assaulted outside Camberley pub

A man has suffered serious head injuries following an assault outside a pub in Camberley.

The incident happened at 11.20pm on Friday night (Jan 12) outside the Surrey Arms, in High Street.

The man was assaulted and taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing to anyone who has any information whatsoever about what happened.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emma Erangey said: “This was a serious assault which took place at a busy time of night and we are sure there would have been witnesses to what happened.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released while remaining under investigation.
