Surrey Police hunt for "dangerous" criminal

Danny Jeeves

Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 4:11pm 12th January 2018. (Updated at 7:13pm 12th January 2018)

A "dangerous" man who badly beat his partner in Dorking has failed to show up for his trial.

25-year-old Danny Jeeves, from Morden, did not appear for his trial at Guildford Crown Court this week.

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find him, after he was convicted of GBH.

The offence took place in April 2017 at an address in Dorking.

Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace him but are asking for help from the public.

Detective Constable, Nicola Deadman, said: “Danny Jeeves should be in prison now, after being found guilty of inflicting horrific injuries on his partner.

"He has been convicted of a very serious offence and for that reason I would ask the public not to approach him, but to contact us straight away if you know where he is.

“Danny Jeeves subjected his partner to a prolonged assault, leaving her with broken ribs, a bruised lung, a split spleen, a fractured vertebrae and a black eye.

"He belongs behind bars, where he can no longer pose a risk to his partner, or to anyone else. Please, help us ensure he is locked up."

The trial started at Guildford Crown Court on January 8 2018 and Mr Jeeves, who was on conditional court bail, last signed in at a police station on 28 December 2017.

He has been found guilty of the charge of grievous bodily harm with intent, but is yet to be sentenced.

Anyone with any information should contact Surrey Police by calling 101, quoting PR/45170036481.
