Final day of strike action on South Western Railway

It is the third and final day of strike action on South Western Railway this week .

It follows walk-outs on both Monday (January 8) and Wednesday (January 10) which brought disruption to the network across Surrey and Hampshire

RMT members are striking again today for 24 hours in a dispute over the role of guards.

Members at South Western Railway are joining those from Northern, Merseyrail and Greater Anglia in the three day action.

There are changes to services with delays and cancellations to services.

South Western Railway has said it will not be providing a rail service at several stations in Surrey.

They are:

  • Bagshot
  • Camberley
  • Frimley
  • Chertsey
  • Addlestone
  • Weybridge 

Instead, there will be a rail replacement bus service.

There will be a reduced service on South Western Railway for most of the routes across Surrey and north east Hampshire.
