WATCH: A Parachuting Proposal at Wings & Wheels

proposal at wings & wheels

10:52pm 27th August 2017
(Updated 8:55am 28th August 2017)

It was a day to remember for a Chiddingfold woman at the 13th Wings and Wheels event in Dunsfold this weekend.

Erika Lenart thought she and her boyfriend Hunor had won a competition to meet the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team as they landed in front of the crowd.

Little did she know that her fiance had actually been planning this elaborate proposal for weeks!

As the Tigers concluded their display Captain Ian Wicks, presented Hunor with a banner he had carried down with him via parachute.

But just look what it said...

Hunor went down on one knee and presented the ring to Erika

And she said YES!

Siddeley the Wings & Wheels mascot then presented the happy couple with a bottle of champagne and the thousands of people watched them cheered.

Hunor and Erika had celebrated their anniversary at Wings & Wheels last year, so what better place for Hunor to pop the question?

Watch the proposal that followed the Tigers display...
