Appeal following fatal collision in Hayes

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for witnesses and information after a motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in Hayes.

Police were called to Uxbridge Road junction with Wesley Road, Hayes at around 12:50hrs on Saturday, 1 April following reports of a serious road traffic collision.

Officers attended along with other emergency services and found the motorcyclist, a 38-year-old man injured.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 13:12hrs.

Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification awaits.

A post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s stopped at the scene. He has not been arrested.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating.
