Olympians head to launch of Hart's new £23 million leisure centre

Olympic athletes are in Fleet today.

It is as Hart District Council and “Everyone Active” celebrates the launch of the brad new Hart Leisure with a special open day event.

The leisure centre, that started development in 2015, features an eight lane swimming pool, martial arts and dance studio, a modern fitness gym and a set of outdoor sports pitches, with ample parking for around 320 vehicles.

Olympic medallists Rebecca Adlington, Leon Taylor and Alex Danson will participate in activities across the day, alongside representatives from Hart council, the Everyone Active programme and Willmott Dixon, the developer of the new complex.

The Chairman of Hart District Council, Cllr Tim Southern, will be present to officially open the centre at 10am.

The day will give members of the public a chance to tour the new centre and try out some of its state-of-the-art facilities.

The event starts at 10am at the Hart Leisure Centre on Emerald Avenue in Fleet.
