Farnborough hotel amongst worst for underpaying staff

The Aviator Hotel in Farnborough is named among the worst offenders for underpaying staff.

It is fourth in a list of 350 employers named by the Government.

The list name companies who are not paying all employees the minimum wage.

The Aviator Hotel failed to pay 37 of its workers correctly.

It means they were short-changed by a combined £32,000.

Others named in our area are Cafe Destino in Hook - which underpaid by £400.

And Dominos in Woking, which underpaid by £340.

Business Minister Margot James said: "Every worker in the UK is entitled to at least the national minimum or living wage and this government will ensure they get it.

"That is why we have named and shamed more than 350 employers who failed to pay the legal minimum, sending the clear message to employers that minimum wage abuses will not go unpunished."
