Lorry bursts into flames on Surrey stretch of the M25

A lorry on the M25 has caught fire.

It happened early this morning  - between junction 9 for Leatherhead and junction 8 for Reigate.

Surrey Fire and Rescue were called out  at 1:32am.

They told us a large goods vehicle was alight - and around 25 firefighters battled the flames for around an hour and half.

Five appliances, two CAFS jets (foam jets), one main jet, one hose reel and four breating apparatus were used.

The fire was out by 3:02am.

There are no injuries.

One lanes is still shut.
