Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a fight at a pub in Thorpe.

Officers were called just before 11:30pm on 25 November to a disturbance at the Red Lion pub in Thorpe.

On arrival they found a large number of people, many of whom were attempting to leave the scene, and it is thought there may have been a number of separate altercations. The National Police Air Support helicopter also attended. A man was taken to hospital for treatment to a stab wound which is described as a serious, but not life threatening injury.

DC Dave Atkinson, from Staines CID, said:

I am keen to speak to anyone with information, or anyone who may have captured the incident on their mobile phone. We are keen to see that footage/ photos to try to understand who was involved.

Anyone with information about the incident, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting 45160104469 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 19 year old man from Feltham is currently in custody following an arrest on suspicion of affray.
