Woking has been home to some big celebrity names over the years.. how many of these did you know?

 

H.G. Wells 

In 1895, H. G. Wells was living in Woking and writing The War of the Worlds.

In 1941, Delia was born in Woking. She has now sold over 16million copies of her recipe books worldwide.

Paul Weller

A town called Woking? The Jam frontman, Paul Weller was born and went to school to school in Woking. Along with Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler in 1958.
