The winner of Eagle Radio's Mystery Voice competition is set to donate all her prizes to two good causes in our area.

Helen, a teacher from Aldershot, won the £3,400 prize pack in March when she correctly guessed actor Simon Lipkin.

But, she has only just been able to collect her boot-full of prizes from the Guildford studios because of the coronavirus lockdown.

Helen has chosen to give her prizes away to Gosden House School in Guildford and Manor Place Care Home in Aldershot.

She told Eagle Radio about the moment she found out she had won:

"It was pretty incredible because I tried so hard to get through, as everybody did, and I just kept on redialling.

"I just remember it was a Tuesday afternoon and it was like 3.30pm.

"My daughter was shouting at me 'be quiet, be quiet', and I'd got through so I was wooping!"

Helen added she decided to give her prizes to the school and care home because they are "both good causes", and believes the children, residents and staff will "benefit from a lot of the prizes".

Zyrieda Denning, owner of Manor Place Care Home, has this message for Helen:

"I'm extremely grateful to Helen for donating those wonderful prizes.

"It's fantastic for the residents to be given additional activities and extra things to do.

"It's been especially difficult for them during this time of lockdown.

"I'd love to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of her support.

"It's very, very wonderful of her to donate her prizes to the residents and staff at Manor Place.

"So, a very great thank you from all the staff."
