They have marched to Stoke Park, where they laid on the ground in memory of George Floyd, who died during an arrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on 25 May.

It is the second protest in Guildford in a week, after demonstrators also gathered on Saturday (6 June).

A number of these peaceful protests were held across Surrey and Hampshire over the weekend, with another set to take place in Hook on Sunday (14 June) at 4pm.

People attending this protest in Hartletts Park are encouraged to wear black and, in light of the coronavirus pandemic, maintain social distancing, wear face masks, maintain hand hygiene by using hand sanitiser and gather in groups of no more than six, keeping to households where possible.

To attend, people must reserve a spot on the Facebook page.
