'Thank you NHS' signs appear in Guildford

Published at 5:03pm 14th April 2020. (Updated at 6:58am 15th April 2020)

Multiple signs have started appearing all over Guildford to thank the NHS and other frontline workers for their lifesaving work during the coronavirus outbreak.

They have been put up near the Royal Surrey Hospital by the Awesome Movement.

The organisation, which operates all over the UK, have also been leaving thank you presents like gift cards and chocolate on fire engines, ambulances and police cars.

The Awesome Movement was set up in 2018 in response to reports that emergency workers were facing abuse while working.
