Appeal for coat stand for staff at Royal Surrey hospital Covid lab

Published at 6:42am 25th March 2020.

Staff working in a newly established COVID lab at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford are appealing for help.

And all they need is a coat stand.

A lab has been set up to process COVID samples - but it means more staff are based there, and with not enough lockers, there is nowhere for them to hang their coats and bags.

Tamara Forster is the hospital's lead biomedical scientist responsible for IT in Virology and Immunology, and is currently seconded to the COVID lab:

"There is no space for additional lockers, etc, so we currently have a pile of bags and coats on the office floor.

"We were hoping that a company may be able to supply a free standing coat rack to help us with this situation."

Anybody who can help should contact Tamara by emailing tforster@nhs.net.
