100 new parking spaces at Royal Surrey

The Royal Surrey Hospital is increasing the amount of patient parking spaces.

100 spaces are being reallocated after more spaces were found for staff off site.

It is hoped the move will ease congestion.

It comes amid plans to build a single decked car park.

The Trust is currently exploring where to build it in order to minimise disruption but it is hoped to be completed by Christmas 2020.

Royal Surrey Finance Director, Ross Dunworth, said:

“We know that car parking can be challenging and frustrating for staff, patients and our visitors and are working hard to improve the provision for all.

“By providing car parking facilities for staff off-site we will be able to increase the number of spaces for patients and visitors on-site.”
