Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following Brookwood crash

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a collision in Brookwood yesterday evening (1 September).

The crash took place at around 6.30pm in Connaught Road after a motorcycle collided with a bollard.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

In a statement South East Coast Ambulance Service said the motorcyclist was assessed and treated for potentially serious injuries before being airlifted to Kings College Hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or with any other information, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference PR/P19201490.
