Published at 1:37pm 4th June 2019.

A quantity of asbestos has been dumped in open woodland near Ash Vale.

The exposed material was fly-tipped on Old Guildford Road, just off Mytchett Place Road.

Guildford Borough Council said they were aware of the waste and have "secured the site with barriers and tape identifying the hazard".

In a statement they added that specialist contractors have been instructed to remove it "as soon as possible".
