Published at 4:57pm 3rd June 2019.

Tributes have been paid to a man killed in a motorbike crash along Mytchett Place Road in Ash Vale.

Flowers, messages and a helmet which reads "RIP Chris" have been left at the scene of the collision which happened on Sunday 26 May.

The man in his 40s has been named by local riding club Middilgard RC as Chris Walker.

A message from the club among the tributes reads:

"Rest easy Chris, may your road be clear, pot hole free and dry.

"May your tank always be filled to the brim.

"Ride free Chris and we'll see you along the road.

"A brother and friend."

Surrey Police said they were not in a position to publicly identify the man at this stage.

The force is investigating the incident after a Kawasaki motorbike and a Ford Fiesta collided last month, with the rider of the motorbike pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are still appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has any dash cam footage from the area around the time of the crash to come forward by calling them on 101, quoting PR/45190054592.

Alternatively, you can get in touch anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
