Guildford choir release charity single on World Parkinson's Day

Published at 6:00am 11th April 2019. (Updated at 11:17am 11th April 2019)

A Guildford choir are hoping to raise £5,000 as they release a charity single this World Parkinson's Day (April 11).

The song, organised by Motivation By Music, is raising funds for Parkinson's UK Guildford and South Surrey Branch.

One of the choirs MbM run is called Parkingsong Voices and is for people living with Parkinson's and their carers, with many members from that choir taking part.

Over £1,000 has already been raised for 'Spring of Life' - watch it below:

Emily Bollon, Creative Director of Motivation by Music said:

"What's so awesome about this charity single is that it is the produce of choirs and singers from across Motivation by Music - Surrey and beyond - coming together to stand side by side to sing about hope, faith, love and community.

"We had singers from MbM Gospel Choir who meet at St Francis Church on Wednesday evenings, Merrow Community Gospel Choir who meet at St John's Centre (Merrow) on Monday evenings, ToC Voices (Topic of Cancer) who meet in Guildford on Monday evenings, and our amazing Parkinsong Voices who meet at Binscombe Church on Friday afternoons! "

Emily is a former President of University of Surrey Students' Union, founder of Motivation by Music and won an Eagle Radio Local Heroes Award in 2017.
