A mum from Send is calling on people to change their perception of Down Syndrome.

Bobbie says she would not change a thing about her 12-year-old daughter Brogan who lives a full life like any other child her age - attending school, Guides and dance classes.

She said:

"It scares people you know, if you're told your baby has Down Syndrome or you're pregnant with a baby that has Down Syndrome.

"There isn't enough positive things out there.

"Children with Down Syndrome can achieve whatever they want to achieve really, if they put their minds to it they can do whatever they want to do."

Brogan is among those with the condition who have starred in a film showcasing that their lives are just the same as any other child.

On the film, mum Bobbie added:

"When children are born with Down Syndrome they're told very much the negative side of it, so this video was just to really highlight the positive sides and that they're just people living their lives."
