A man has been stabbed in Ash in an attack last night.

Police were called to Fairview Road just after 9:08pm.

The man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A second man suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses say police were stopping cars from entering the road from around 930pm through to midnight.

They also saw the police helicopter and an ambulance and a forensics team.

One man told us he saw the victim on the ground and that there was a blood trail along the pavement.

Police were also notified that a vehicle had been damaged on Harper's Lane at the same time - and they believe the two incidents are linked.
