Family pay tribute to man found by Guildford car park

Published at 2:13pm 15th October 2018.

A family, thought to be that of a man who died near Guildford's York Road car park, have left a touching tribute where he was found.

Messages and flowers have been displayed by the wooded area next to the car park, with one reading: "Dearest Tony, son, brother, dad."

Several other floral tributes have also been left, another read: "Tony, such a lovely happy guy my memories with you will always be in my heart, rest in peace."

Last week police discovered a man by the car park with serious injuries, following reports of a concern for safety.

He was pronounced dead shortly after officers and ambulance crews arrived at the scene.
