Ex-Guildford student to star in The Apprentice

Published at 1:44pm 1st October 2018. (Updated at 2:19pm 1st October 2018)

One of the stars of the new series of The Apprentice studied in Guildford.

22-year-old Kurran Pooni, from London, was a student at the reputable University of Law in the town  from 2014 up until this year, when he was selected to join 15 other business hopefuls on the latest series of the show.

Kurran believes what makes him stand out is his 'creative eye' and thinks he'll do well dealing with 'managing egos'.  His father started up his own airline, which has been a huge inspiration.

What winds him up?  People who are out for themselves and not into teamwork - and liars.  He says just being himself will help him progress through the rounds on The Apprentice.

Kurran, who went to an exclusive school in Hertfordshire, summed himself up with this classic quote:

"I'll be honest, I don't eat, sleep, breathe business but I do eat, sleep and breathe success".

The new series of The Apprentice starts on Wednesday, October 3rd on BBC1.
