Over 850kg of rubbish removed from A3

Over 850 kilograms of rubbish has been removed from the A3 this July. 

Guildford Borough Council have been invovled in a 'litter pick' on the road over the past four nights. 

The total weight collected over this period accumulated to 860kg of litter, which totalled to 101 bags between 2 vans.

Over 850kg of litter and over 4 tonne of gravel, sand and silt removed from the Guildford section of the A3.

Surrey Police are warning people to "keep their litter and dispose of it at home, or at the next petrol station."

"Discarding litter onto the road means litter pickers and road workers are out at risk", officer ssaid.
