Guildford flat 'taken over by drug dealers' is partially closed

Published at 6:00am 30th April 2018.

A property in Guildford's Station View has been partially closed after it was taken over by drug dealers.

The resident, who is said to be vulnerable, had been left to roam the streets following the anti-social behaviour.

People would visit regularly, apparently under the influence of drink or drugs, playing loud music late at night with reports of drug related activity near the address.

But after working with PA Housing, last week Surrey Police managed to secured a partial closure of the Austen House address.

This means only the tenant is allowed to enter it, anyone else will be committing a criminal offence.

Lucy Lumsden of the ASB Team said: "We are determined to tackle this type of anti-social behaviour which makes the lives of local residents a misery.

"If you see anyone other than the tenant entering the address please contact us on 999 quoting PR/45180039849."

There is more information on anti-social behaviour on the Surrey Community Safety website.
