Guildford Poundland 'fully trading' following fire

Poundland in Guildford has reopened following a small fire on Wednesday afternoon (April 18). 

Fire crews were called at around 2:35pm and the shop had to be closed. 

A spokesperson for Surrey Fire and Rescue said: "Two fire engines were sent to deal with a small fire on the first floor and we left shortly after 3pm."

Shoppers reported that the store was closed 'due to unforeseen circumstances'.

Poundland has confirmed it was fully trading again by this morning (April 19).
