House in Ash destroyed by fire

A home in Ash has burnt down after a blaze in a car spread to the property.

Surrey Fire and Rescue were called out to the semi-detached house in May Crescent last night (February 28) before 7pm.

Five crews rushed to put out the flames, from Guildford, Camberley, Farnham, Leatherhead and Rushmoor (Hampshire Fire).

The house is totally damaged - a car in the driveway is also badly damaged.

They had to use the aerial ladder platform as well as five jets and six breathing apparatus.

It was out before 10pm.
