Car hits pedestrian in Guildford 'parking space dispute'

A man has been arrested after what appears to have been a dispute over a parking space in Guildford. 

The incident happened on Saturday (November 18) morning at Castle Car Park. 

Officers were called at around 9.50am following reports of a collision involving a black Audi and a pedestrian. 

The incident took hold on the fourth floor. 

A spokesperson for Surrey Police told Eagle: "It is believed the collision occurred following a dispute over a parking space." 

"The pedestrian suffered a leg injury as a result of the incident and was taken to hospital.

"The car park was closed temporarily to allow access to emergency services but was fully reopened around 45 minutes later.

"A man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody."

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident reference number P17290739.
