Guildford's Stoke Park: What next?

Published at 6:04am 5th September 2017.

The future of Guildford's Stoke Park is up for discussion, as the borough council launches a consultation.

It wants to know what you use it for, what you like about it and what you would like to see changed.

The council says it wants the park to remain one of the borough's 'best-loved'.

Councillor Richard Billington, Lead Councillor for Rural Economy, Countryside and Parks Said: "Stoke Park is one of the borough's best loved parks, and this consultation will help inform the creation of a new masterplan to implement over future years.

"We want to hear from as many users of the park as possible – from groups and individuals, families and professionals - to the sports community and voluntary sectors.

"We welcome feedback from everyone who enjoys visiting Stoke Park and its many resources.

"We want to understand how the park is seen and valued, and what your ideas and suggestions are for its future.

"We are keen to hear from people of all ages.  All opinions matter, and it will help us continue to manage and develop this special green space and its facilities to meet the needs of our residents and visitors now and in the future."

The consultation has begun and will run for 12 weeks.

You can have your say in the online survey until 12 noon on Monday 27th November.

If you would like a paper copy of the survey instead, please email:  parks@guildford.gov.uk  or call 01483 444718.
