Extreme heat melts the Hogs Back...again!

Published at 4:17pm 20th June 2017. (Updated at 4:18pm 20th June 2017)

One lane is closed on the A31 Hogs Back in Guildford because, well..it's melting again!

It's between the A3 for Guildford and the B3000 Puttenham turn off.

We're told the road surface is in a poor condition and there's slow traffic in the are as a result.

It comes as Surrey and Hampshire have been issued with a Level 3 Heatwave Alert from the Met Office.

It's the second day running extreme heat has melted parts of the tarmac on the road.

Temperatures are set to reach over 30 degrees again tomorrow (June 20).

The local council has been informed.
