Extreme heat MELTS tarmac on Hogs Back

Published at 3:06pm 19th June 2017. (Updated at 3:29pm 19th June 2017)

Extreme heat has melted part of the tarmac on the Hogs Back.

Surrey Police have said it's along the stretch between Guildford and Puttenham.

We are receiving reports that large holes are starting to appear and cones are going out.

Officers are advising people to drive and ride carefully.

It comes as Surrey and Hampshire have been issued with a Level 3 Heatwave Alert from the Met Office.

Temperatures are set to reach over 30 degrees centigrade for the next few days.

The local council has been informed.
