University of Surrey makes Guardian's top 10 tables

A number of programmes offered by the University of Surrey are among the best in the country, according to the Guardian's latest tables.

It made it into 14 of the paper's 54 top ten tables.

English and Creative Writing makes its first apperance on the list, meanwhile Economics moved up 10 places to 7th.

Mathematics also jumped up 10 places to 4th.

Elsewhere School of Hospitalities and Tourism was ranked number 1 with Dance, Music and Drama taking 2nd place.

Vice Chancellor and President of the University of Surrey, Professor Max Lu said: "These results once again demonstrate that the University of Surrey is a world-class institution that attracts the best researchers and students.

"Our continued success is testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff and students. I am delighted that we have received this recognition."
