Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Stoughton attack

Two further arrests have been made in connection with an incident that has left a man from Stoughton with life-threatening injuries.

The three men who were previously arrested have been released from police custody but remain under investigation.

Now two men, aged 16 and 19, have been arrested on 12 May on suspicion of attempted murder due to the severity of the victim’s injuries.

They have also been released from police custody but remain under investigation.

In the early hours of Monday (8 May) two men were attacked by a group in New Cross Road.

One man suffered severe injuries is in a stable but critical condition.

The investigation remains ongoing.
