Man suffers serious head injuries after group attack in Stoughton

A man has suffered serious head injuries after a group assault in Stoughton during the early hours of Monday morning (May 8).

He and another man were attacked in New Cross Road just after 4am, both of the victims are still receiving treatment after they were taken to hospital.

The assault took place in the street and the entrance to one of the houses has today been cordoned off by police.

Officers remain in the area and blood can still be seen on the pavement.


Since the attack Surrey Police says officers thoroughly searched the area and three people have been arrested.

All three of those are from Guildford and remain in custody.

The investigation remains ongoing and officers say a number of enquiries have been carried out.

Surrey Police is asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have any other information to contact them by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 45170047242.
