Guildford Flames to take on Belfast in historic cup final

The Guildford Flames have already made club history by getting to their first ever Elite League Final, but could they go one step further?

They are taking on the Belfast Giants in the Challenge Cup final on Sunday March 10th. Face off in Cardiff is at 4pm.

It is the club's first major final since joining the EIHL.

“This is not only a great moment for this club, but also for every player here who has helped be a part of a first for us,” said Head Coach Paul Dixon.

“Every athlete wants to be in a position where they are going for silver, and we have a chance to now be in a one off game to do just that.”

The team have already picked up one trophy this season, by taking the Patton Conference Title.

Check out the Flames Podcast here, where Joshua Waller looks ahead to the final.
