Another step forward for Slyfield regeneration

Published at 12:55pm 22nd June 2018.

The Executive approved the next stage of the new internal road at Slyfield Industrial Estate at its meeting on 19 June, which means detailed design and construction options can now be progressed.

Cllr Matt Furniss, Lead Councillor for Transport, Infrastructure and Environment, says: "This new internal road will unlock the potential of this important industrial site. It will also help deliver the Slyfield Area Regeneration Programme (SARP).

"Longer term, the road will enable existing businesses to expand and encourage new companies to move to the area. The new road will support the SARP and serve as a catalyst for reinvestment in the estate, creating further employment and housing development opportunities."

Executive approval will enable the work on detailed design and construction to proceed between 2018-2020.
